My Father's Boat
Sitting on the side of my father's boat, took a long weekend to step off the world.
Hoping that the rain will call it a day,
Send my thoughts into the wind - just take them away.

I've lost my perspective, I'm winter worn. Noone really knows what battles we fight, so be a little
kind - you just don't know.

There's a flock of geese flying overhead, I lay myself down on the grass by the reed bed.
The April sun melts into the wood, staring it in will do me some good.

I'm lucky to be here - a fortunate man, but I'm fighting everyday and often forced to change
plans.
I'd lost my perspective, internalised some pain.
The trouble in the world - it can get you down, you've got to step away now and again.

Sitting on the side of my father's boat, I think I'm ready now to re-enter the world
sitting on the side of my fathers boat, i think I'm ready now to re-enter the world.
I'm lucky to be here - a fortunate man, but I'm fighting everyday and often forced to change
plans.
I'd lost my perspective, internalised some pain.
The trouble in the world - it can get you down, you've got to step away now and again.

Sitting on the side of my father's boat, I think I'm ready now to re-enter the world
sitting on the side of my fathers boat, i think I'm ready now.

I know what I'm not
I know what I'm not, I don't know who I am
Falling through the day, I'm dead without a change.
Maybe my life's ok. I feel my life is done.
Perhaps the best is still to come. I only just left the house.

Do they value me? If yes, then I'm ok.
Do the bad guys fear me? Then i feel I'm proud to be.

The value of a being is never accurate.
Noone should be worth dying by the roadside in the richest place on earth.

I know what I'm not, I don't know who I am
I wrestle with the day, I'm dead without a change.

The value of a being is never accurate.
Noone should be worth dying by the roadside in the richest place on earth.
Desperate people trying to cross the ocean - they are swimming for their lives.
What has doused the flames of our emotions, with all the papers printing lies.
