Now this year is ending In a corridor of light The colours are beautiful And the pace is right I fought my tears And they did not win But they are a part of me So they will never be gone I once buried the roots Of my fears in this city And I always come back To be sure that they’re dead The monsters sometimes Come out like a fountain But I have learnt Learnt how to fight them I became stronger and know how to handle The fears in my thoughts by the glass book and candle I know there’s a way out of darkness (times) And this place is like sacred ground It’s a good place, it feels like safe heaven There’s no better place to be found

Our ways are often molded by our fears and apprehensions.

"Corridor" is about the possiblilty to accapt and overcome these feards.

Axel writes about the track: "The lyrics were written after a Waterboy show at Paradiso in a Cafe in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is and remains my favorite town with many memories. Amsterdam symbolizes fears that I overcame, creative dreams, love, possibilites and just taking a break. The Fieldrecordings at the beginning of the track are from the sqaure infront of Amsterdam Main Station, they are the first thing you hear, when leaving the station. THe morning the lyrics were written, they came so easy me, they initilly wre much longer, and still are rather extensive."

The track has a diverse arrangement, bass, E-Bow guitar, slide guitar and 2nd vocals by Jens Potenberg, Hammond-organ by Dirk Beweig, which keep the track interesting.

The Video is done by Thomas Greh, it is the third collaboration between Axel and him. The footage was shoot in BRemen and once again on Isley, Scottland.

"The island is gaining symblic meaning for me. Thhe view towards the sea and the irish costs is somehting that just is burned into my mind" says Axel.

These places, next to books, windows and candlelight, is what inspires and motvated Axel Kruse.
